No. It’s free to accompany your child along the mile run; however, you won’t receive any of the running benefits that he/she receives. If you wish to register, to receive the benefits as a runner, please register for the 5K event.
We’re sorry you’re unable to attend. Unfortunately, as with most all running events, we do not allow refunds and there are no exceptions to this.
Yes, you can do this by logging into your Active account and clicking on the transfer registration option. There is a $5.00 fee to transfer your registration and we do not allow any transfers after a certain date, visit the Cities tab for the specific date.
The Ice Cream 5K benefits local children’s organizations in the city where the event is being held. Please visit the Cities tab to see what charity the event in your city benefits.
This depends on a number of factors, from administrative costs, number of participants, sponsorships received etc.; therefore, we cannot specifically state how much of a registration fee goes directly to the organization until the conclusion of the event. We will make the total “donation” public a few weeks after the event. Please check our website for updates.
This event is rain or shine. If severe weather is in the area, we will delay the event as needed and as allowed by the police department and/or the park organizers (depending on where your local event is being held). As an absolute last resort, the event will be postponed for the safety of everyone if it’s determined that severe weather could bring damaging winds and storms through the area throughout the day. In the event the race is postponed, your registration will automatically be transferred to the new date (TBD). No refunds will be given if the event is postponed or cancelled altogether due to weather – no exceptions. By registering for the event, you agree to the weather policy as stated.
Yes, the baby/toddler crawl/walk will be manually timed, while the mile run and 5K will be chipped timed.
Yes, we will have a free bag/equipment check. Your bib number will be assigned to your bag and equipment; therefore, make sure you have your bib number with you when you come to retrieve your items.
*Any tip you leave will go directly to benefit the nonprofit organization.
Yes, as long as the park or area where the event is taking places allows pets. Dogs must be on a leash at all times – no exceptions. If your dog is aggressive around kids or other pets, we kindly ask that you refrain from bringing your pet.
If your dog will be doing the 5K with you, please make sure he or she stays hydrated as this day could get very hot. We will have a limited number of water bowls out for dogs at the water stop (approx. 2 miles into the run).
Yes, we’ll have a large after-party at the finish of the race. Some of the activities, include music, dancing, face painting, line dancing lessons, and much more! Continue to check our website for after-party updates.
Yes, we’ll have awards for each race category including separate awards for male/female. We’ll also have family awards for the fastest combined family in the various categories. We’ll announce all award categories closer to the event.
Yes, these will be uploaded to the website shortly after event day. They will also be available at the after-party, in the results tent, near the finish line.
The Ice Cream 5K is owned by Fun Runs LLC. Fun Runs LLC is a company specializing in managing running events dedicated to raising money for local charities.
